How Breema Has Affected My Life

At my first Breema class, taught by Merle and Yasmin, I felt I had arrived at the right place at the right time. I experienced the wisdom and power within the natural simplicity and harmony of the Self-Breema exercises. My heart opened in that moment—I could honestly call it love at first sight! As time went on, I learned to be more relaxed and naturally self-assured, and parallel with that, my trust in others grew.
In my opinion, Breema is the ultimate and most natural way to experience the meaning of mutual support. After several years of traveling around the world, intensively and immersively studying a variety of methods and practices that I hoped would help me find answers to questions such as, “Who am I?”, “What directs the complex of relationships I have with myself, with others, and with the world?”, and “What can give meaning and direction to my life?” I chose to practice Breema’s universal Nine Principles of Harmony together with Breema bodywork and Self-Breema as a way of life.
When I practice, I lose the feeling of time pressure. The stream of my thoughts slows down, and my ability to breathe freely and naturally increases without effort.
I feel less threatened and more natural in my relationships with other people, as my ability to accept myself and others grows. Instead of always being reactive, I am finding a growing ability to be with what is happening, and an increasing ability to find a harmonious way of responding.
Practicing Breema is really discovering myself anew every moment. Each Self-Breema, naturally and without force, helps me to enjoy a higher level of vitality, and supports me to find greater mental, emotional, and physical flexibility.
The social isolation and absence of touch that Covid-19 has brought has thankfully been significantly offset by the Zoom classes offered by the Breema Center and Breema instructors around the world. Meeting friends in the online classes makes me happy and helps remedy the feeling of isolation. I benefit every time I participate in one of these classes and, of course, am also awaiting the moment we can return to actual group classes and exchange the Breema touch.
My dream is to see Breema become a known and recognized phenomenon in the world in the next few years. In spite of all the difficulties we’ve been faced with, it seems like Breema is bringing us closer together.
